Process
Each ceramic piece is thrown on the wheel or built by hand. All surface decoration you see on our work is hand painted. Because of this, each item may show slight variance in size, colour, and shape. All custom orders will generally take about 4 - 6 weeks to complete, please keep this in mind when inquiring about placing a commission.
Various stonewares are used to create all our ceramic goods. Some of our pieces will be indicated as decorative use only but all functional ware will have food safe glaze. All functional ware can be used in the microwave or dishwasher but hand washing is recommended to preserve the longevity of all goods.
Placing An Order
Better Off Studio is always happy to tackle new projects, your idea or ours, as well as re-envision a previous piece to your liking. When inquiring about a custom order please keep in mind that most projects will take about 4 - 6 weeks to complete. If a rush order is required, please let us know and we will do our best.
Although various stonewares and glazes may be used, orders will typically be made from similar clay bodies and glazes you will see from our most recent work. Requests will be considered but please keep in mind that not all requests can be fulfilled. We are more than happy to discuss different options.
Once your request has been received we can get back to you on a quote. Deposits are required for all custom orders and can vary depending on the size of the order. When a deposit has been received, we will begin production on your order.
